State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest bank of India. Though, it is a government owned bank, but the services that it is offering to its customers are really astonishing.

ATM has become an integral part of life. Since, SBI has the largest no. of savings and current accounts in India hence the bank has opened a staggering no. of ATMs all over India. It has more than 22,000 ATMs across the country.

Maximum Withdrawal Limit Per Day

Withdrawal limit comes under two categories. Since, almost all ATM cards of the SBI are ATM-cum-Debit Card hence the bank has a separate provision for these two categories.

ATM Transaction

On a single day, the maximum that one can transact through an ATM is Rs. 40,000. However, keep this in mind that you can not withdraw this amount by a single attempt. Every machine has different rules, but the minimum that you can withdraw is Rs. 15,000. SBI ATMs in metro can handle more money in a single request. Whatever, you can withdraw again and again till you reach the limit of Rs. 40,000.

Debit Transactions

You can transact through your card on a Point-of-Sale terminal through SBI ATM-cum-Debit Card. The maximum limit for shopping through a single card is Rs. 50,000. Be aware, that debit transaction through your card will not affect your withdrawal limit through an ATM.

As we can see, one can use up to Rs. 90,000 of one’s account on a single day –through ATM transaction, and Debit transaction.

Limit Don't Depend on ATM Kiosks

Different banks have different criteria for maximum withdrawal limit through ATM Cards. One should keep this in mind that the criteria of respective banks hold for any ATM. If you are using SBI ATM Machine for cash transaction through a card of different bank then the limit of SBI won’t apply on that card.
