hi.....my friend took unwanted 72 within the same day of having sex(within 24 hrs) now her period cycle got delayed..i mean she always have a week before periods but this time jst got a blood spot before her due date which is on 27th apr...is she pregnant or is it b'coz the pill? should she see the doctor? i will appreciate if u will reply

I think there should not be any problem with you. Irregularity is natural, and you must have encountered situation like this before. You are worried because this time the circumstances is something different.

There is nothing that should send you in the home of sadness. Cheer up. Live your life. Nothing to worry as of now. I think the bleeding that you are experiencing should be light one. There is no way that you will get pregnant.
And, insist your boyfriend to use condom next time, if it happens again.

In fact, for short term, there is not much side effects of contraceptive emergency pills. However, if it is taken on regular basis, that seems to be a case in present scenario in India, then it is certainly going to cause a problem. Teenagers don't seem to understand this. And, then Emergency Contraceptive pills don't insulate one from any Sexually Transmitted Diseases like AIDS. Drugs Companies are to be blamed here as they should have shown a responsibility in the use of these pills.
India does have an ongoing population problem. Education also. AIDs is growing fast there too.
I do believe a woman has the right to control her destiny but remember there is a male involved here to. It's a one night stand pill?
The side effects you list seem minimal and drug company's favorite term is "the benefits out way the risk".
